Planning a trip

National parks in Nunavik offer visitors a chance to discover Québec’s rich natural and cultural heritage and scenic beauty. They offer an opportunity to meet with the Inuit who still carry on their traditional activities.

However, due to the park’s remoteness, variable weather conditions, possible encounters with wildlife and longer emergency service response times, visitors must be well informed of the risks and dangers regarding activities in the parks.

Preparedness and safety are the responsibility of each visitor. To help you in your preparations, see the Expedition planning guide and video clip Preparation and safety in national parks in Nunavik.
